Vinarija Krgović has vineyards at three distinct sites around Montenegro’s capital city - Podgorica. We leverage each of our sites’ unique terroir in order to craft the most expressive wines Montenegro has to offer.

Our Main Estate
Rogami
Nestled in the heart of Montenegro’s wine country, the vineyard covered village of Rogami is the birthplace of our winery—a village where history and winemaking come together. Separated only by a meandering creek, our estate sits beside the ancient ruins of Doclea - the most significant Roman settlement within the borders of modern day Montenegro. We are proud to be farming the same land likely to have been farmed by the Romans themselves. This unique setting, rich in both culture and natural beauty, provides an inspiring foundation for our winemaking.
This vineyard is home to both autochthonouns and international varieties and majorly consiststs of Vranac, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Chardonnay. The sun-drenched days and cool evenings, paired with our well drained soil, are particularly favorable for our red grapes, resulting in our full-bodied extract-rich wines. From vine to glass, this site is more than a vineyard—it is the soul of our winery, where history, nature, and passion merge to create wines of character and distinction.
Our Chardonnay Basket
Gornji Crnci
Situated four hundred meters above sea level in the Piperi region, Gornji Crnci is our second vineyard—an intentional step toward adapting to a changing climate while preserving the style of our wines. Just ten kilometers north of Podgorica, this site offers a distinct microclimate, with temperatures several degrees cooler than the valley beneath. The result is a slower ripening process that maintains the natural acidity of our grapes. Adding to this effect, a cliff overlooking the vineyard blocks the morning sun, further extending the ripening period and enhancing the crisp, refreshing character of our wines.
At Gornji Crnci, we primarily planted low-yielding Chardonnay clones from Burgundy. These vines thrive in the clay-rich soils, drawing out depth and complexity while retaining a crisp, mineral-driven character.
Beyond its winemaking potential, this vineyard is also surrounded by history. Just minutes away lies Ćelija Piperska, a 17th-century monastery that adds to the sense of tradition and timelessness in this remarkable location.

Our Latest Addition
Beri
In 2021, we continued our expansion. Our latest vineyard addition is nestled in the quiet village of Beri, on the western edges of Podgorica. This land has been cultivated with vines for centuries, benefiting from its exceptionally fertile soil and good growing conditions. It is no wonder that the village is dotted by boutiqe wineries.
Acquired through a long-term lease, the Beri vineyard represents a continuation of tradition and a commitment to add complexity to our wines. It is home to a carefully selected array of grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Malvasia di Candia, Lisicina, Marselan, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Muscat Hamburg.
